Regenerative laboratory

Would you like to experiment with regeneration, self-sufficiency, permaculture, eco-philosophy and -politics, and our relationship with nature? Then the subject Regenerative Laboratory at Vestjyllands Højskole might be just right for you.

The subject combines practice and theory: you’ll get your hands in the soil while being introduced to different approaches to regeneration — from the ethics and principles of permaculture and forest garden design to soil theory and eco-philosophy.

You’ll also get acquainted with larger-scale field cultivation, working with agricultural tools such as small tractors, robots, and integrated livestock systems, while discussing the potential of regenerative practices in the agriculture of the future.

We’ll engage our bodies and senses, learning to work with rather than against nature. Through sensory experiences in the natural world, we’ll cultivate a deeper understanding of nature and a sense of connectedness with the world around us.
