Ceramics is a subject with both depth and breadth. You will receive instruction in throwing techniques as well as various other ways of working with clay. You'll gain an understanding of how process, material, technique, and expression come together.

The craft has deep roots in cultures across the world and holds a broad range of applications in society today. Industry, art, craftsmanship, and hobby are all different approaches to ceramics, making it an always relevant and fascinating field to explore.

Mistakes are a gift in the learning process; when a handle falls off or a bowl cracks, we have the opportunity to delve into technical details, deepening our understanding of both the material and process.

Through exercises and workshop practice, you'll have the chance to develop your own ideas and expressions in ceramics. Together, we will explore new ideas and techniques, creating a workshop environment focused on learning and growth.

During the course, you’ll also be introduced to various artists and craftspersons’ approaches to working with ceramics.
