Botanical crafts

In this course, we immerse ourselves in nature’s treasure chest and explore what the season’s wild plants can be used for. We go foraging in the forest and the school garden to collect herbs, flowers, and leaves, which we then process in various ways. You’ll learn how to dry plants for tea, create your own herbarium, make salves, tinctures, and incense. In addition, we’ll work with plant dyeing, experimenting with coloring both fabric and yarn using natural materials.

The course combines an understanding of nature, craftsmanship, and creativity as we create something beautiful and useful from the growth of spring.
