Existence

We take on themes of agriculture, asylum, nature, nationalism and social organisation.

The class will go on frequent trips: We will visit a conventional pig farm. We will go to the deportation camp Kærshovedgård and speak to rejected asylum seekers. We will visit small-scale micro-farms run manually and meet young people organising collectively in the countryside.

In other words: we will go and meet the locals and the megalomaniacs. Those who fight and organise, and those who challenge the narratives. Those who aren't only talking about change but are already living it.

When not on trips, we look and local and global issues from the classroom. Topics can include: climate / agriculture / nature & biodiversity / indigenous peoples' movements / (post-)colonialism / culture / asylum / self-sustainability / collective organising and alternative living / intentional communities and country-side living.
