A “Folk High School†– is an educational concept unique to Denmark , the ideology of the school is based on the thoughts of Grundvig, the founder of the Danish “Folk High Schoolsâ€.
At Vestjyllands Højskole we encourage personal challenges, companionship and a professional approach to life and study. We welcome anyone who wants to develop their human skills and are able to have fun whilst showing dedication to their work. However, speaking English or Danish is a requirement.
A Folk High School is a meeting place for many people and cultures. Young people come to live at the school from all over Denmark and around the world. Staying at Vestjyllands Højskole, provides you with a unique multicultural experience.
You have the opportunity to construct your own course by choosing subjects that are particularly relevant to you and you are able to mix and match combinations of the many subjects we offer.
