PICTORIAL ART
The art of today is a varied and complex field. It is characterised by numerous amounts of styles, ways and intentions.
The acquisition of contemporary art is without any short cuts or easy answers. The subject is embraced with presentations, discussions and practical exercises. The aim is to increase the awareness and accessibility to the expressions of pictorial arts for the individual student. The subject covers teaching in painting, drawing and a variety of installation arts and videos.
We aim to identify the personal style in each of our students – which is what makes the content of art significant. We try to reach the potential and define the interests of each of our students through a range of exercises and projects. Technique and sensitiveness are in focus to enhance delivery of the message to its maximum. We practice speaking of our own art projects and criticising in a constructive way. Some of the more challenging areas of art are discussed as well.
